We are so excited to now be offering a knit substrate in our lineup! We searched high and low for the best base fabric we could find and chose a cotton spandex jersey made with American grown cotton. It is soft and snuggly to the touch and has just the right amount of stretch. The spandex content lends great bounce and recovery, ensuring your tees, dresses and leggings will not stretch or bag out as you wear them. The fiber content is 95% cotton/5% spandex and the width is 58″-60″.

We have two all-jersey collections releasing in October and November. The first one, Hello, is designed with kids’ clothes in mind, but of course you can use it for anything you want!

The second collection shipping in November is called Dress Shop. Dress Shop was designed with adult garments in mind but again, there are no rules! You can make whatever you want!

Have you ever sewn with knits before? Did you know you can make entire knit projects on your regular sewing machine?? Tune back in tomorrow for our extensive post with all the knowledge you need to sew knits on a regular machine!

Also, we love to see the projects and progress photos you take with our fabrics! Be sure to use the hashtag #cottonandsteelknits for the knits and #cottonandsteelcloset for C+S garments in general so that we can see and repost!
