The latest Rifle Paper Co. / Cotton+Steel fabric collection Amalfi is hitting stores now!

For Quilt Market, we used the Dusk to Dawn quilt pattern by Meghan Buchanan of Then Came June to make up a sample. We love how the undulating colors make us think of the shallow turquoise waters of the Mediterranean.

If you would like to make your own version, we made a handy dandy yardage chart you can use in conjunction with Meghan’s pattern so that you know how much of which fabrics to get. It’s pictured below, download a pdf version here!

Amalfi should arrive in store in the next few days and we just can’t wait!

I’m also crossing my fingers that all of these coordinates from the basics ranges arrive at the same time so that I can start kitting up this gorgeous quilt, as the Dusk to Dawn patterns are already here

I bought this fabric according to these directions. Just finished the top and it is beautiful. My question is about the backing. The directions call for 3 1/4 yards for the backing. How did you cut/piece the back to have enough fabric for the longarmer to machine quilt? I’m noticing that all the longarmers ask that the backing be 6-8” bigger than the top. I can’t figure out how to cut my yardage to make it work. Thanks for your help!
