We are so thrilled to announce that the next designer in the C+S Friends series is the amazing and talented Jen HewettJen is a printmaker, surface designer, textile artist and teacher. A lifelong Californian, Jen combines her love of bold prints and saturated colors with the textures and light of the California landscapes to create highly-tactile, visually-layered, handmade textiles.

Jen’s first ever fabric collection Imagined Landscapes will debut at Spring Quilt Market and is scheduled to ship this August. To create this collection for Cotton+Steel, Jen drew inspiration from her daily walks in and around Golden Gate Park, simplifying the surrounding flora and landscapes into quirky, geometric shapes.

Cotton+Steel Friends is a fabric series featuring the work of artists outside the sewing industry. Each season, the C+S designers invite an artist or illustrator whose work they admire to create a fabric collection.

Both Jen and Cotton+Steel will be sharing more sneak peeks of Imagined Landscapes as we get closer to market, so be sure to follow along on Instagram so you don’t miss anything!
